We have nearly finished the design of our new website and it's looking pretty good. It seems to be much more user friendly than the last site and will contain a great deal more content. There will be constantly updated results and a multimedia section where all of Ormonde Racings and our associates winners will be able to be shown.
We are very much looking forward to the return of Persian Buddy at Plumpton on Sunday 2nd January. He has been sidelined with a grumbling suspensory ligament for nearly 22 months but now is apparently in the rudest of health and very much ready for his first taste of national hunt. Fingers crossed!
Unfortunately Persian Buddy met with a slight accident last week and pulled a muscle in his back. This was nothing serious but did require a couple of days on bute which means that he is unable to race for about 8-10 days after he has stopped taking it. All being well we will have him back on the track within 2 weeks.
Another twist in the ongoing saga which is Persian Buddy in that the splint that he'd thrown is out but he was still not moving right. After further examination by Rob the vet he was found to have fractured the splint. He will now not be back until May. This horse has now found about 6 different ailments to keep him off the track for 2 years. Even Job's patience would be tried!
Dubai Gem has been having a rest out at Leesa Longs farm in Brighton near the racetrack but is soon to go back into training with Olivia Maylam. Hopefully a change of scenery and the time off that she has had will make all the difference. We live in Hope!
Dubai Gem is back in training now with Olivia and is just starting to do some serious work. It shouldn't be too long before we see her on a racetrack unless she takes a leaf out of Persian Buddy's book.........
Caldermud spreadeagled his field at Salisbury to win his handicap at the rewarding price of 8/1. Now that Olivia has got to the bottom of Muddy great things are expected!
